Young's Paint and Dalgarno, posted combined records of 7 wins and 4 losses in the UBIC Men's Softball Tournament and one of Dalgarno's losses was a 23 to 2 setback to Young's Paint, Saturday afternoon. Dalgarno toppled Bumps in the first round, 12 to 11 and was defeated by Neola. 10 to 8, and edged the Ute Tribe team, 14 to 13. Dalgarno downed the Wild Bunch and was eliminated from the tournament w hen they were toppled by Young's Paint. Dalgarno tied for fifth place in the tournament. Young's Paint had a 9 to 1 lead after two innings of action. Monty Lee smashed a homer in the first inning and Cliff Harrison had a double in the second inning. Young's Paint scored eight runs in the second inning. Bert Clark smashed a double and scored a run for Dalgarno in the second inning The Young's Paint crew added 14 more runs to win the game by the score of 23 to 2. Rick Gardner slugged a homer in the third inning for Young's Paint and Finley Horrocks smashed a home run for Dalgarno. Dalgarno was defeated by Neola. 10 to 8, in the second round and then the Dalgarno team downed the Ute Tribe. 14 to 13. Dalgarno scored two runs in the first inning and netted one run in the third inning on a homer by Finley Horrocks. Dalgarno scored seven runs in the fifth inning. Tad Coon smashed a triple and Finley Horrocks had a double. Dalgarno added four more runs in the seventh inning for a 14 tt over the Ute Tribe team.
