Show Weight clinic registration to begin Responding to an apparent need in the community, Dr. Larry Wilcken will again start a weekly weight clinic which will run for four weeks. The purpose pur-pose of the clinic is to teach people about obesity and how to implement exercise, ex-ercise, dieting, and medication to achieve optimal weight control. A surprising number of people in our community have been going to Salt Lake City to be treated by an osteopath with diuretics, laxatives, thyroid, and speed. This treatment has resulted in several people being hospitalized for arrhythmias of the heart, nervous disorders, and in one case, an acute psychosis. State authorities, to the best of our knowledge, have closed these clinics at the present time, and they are no longer treating patients. The attractiveness attrac-tiveness of these clinics is a testimonial to the need for an effective weight-control weight-control program and for this reason, I am offering these classes. The physiology ot fat and how it is stored and broken down, etc. will be explained. ex-plained. A practical, no-nonsense diet will be given. Behavior modification will be implemented.
