Peve bencher is new hoop coach Pete Rencher has been selected as the head basketball coach for the 1980-81 1980-81 season at Uintah High School, according ac-cording to Principal Bill Caldwell. Rencher, who is a native of Redmond, Oregon, has been the basketball coach at Vernal Junior High for two years. His 1979-80 9th grade team finished with an undefeated season of 17-0 and placed first in the Uintah Basin League. The Vernal crew also nabbed first place in F " - "- " ' ' 1 - - 5 i - i 1 PETE RENCHER is the new Uintah High School head basketball coach. the Huntington, Vernal and Cr tournaments. Kencher's 9th gra team in the 1978-79 season finished w a 15-6 record and placed first in I Uintah Basin League. Rencher played basketball fo fi years at Redmond High School, played basketball at Rick's College at Southern Utah State College in Ce City. He was graduated from SUSC 1978. The 6'6" forward, Pete Renct was a member of the SUSC team tl took part in the national tournament 1977. The Cedar City team defeal Grand Canvon College and then wi nipped by an Oklahoma team in 1 first round.
