Show A degenerate mind Dear Editor: I sincerely hope that the person or persons who contrived the elaborate hoax about an airplane which supposedly sup-posedly crashed in the Uinta Mountains on June 5 through June 6, 1980 will be apprehended and justly punished. Much thought, time and effort would have to had been spent planning this hoax. We don't know the purpose or what he intended to gain from his scheme. I wonder if it gave him some twisted pleasure to know that people were anxiously monitoring the radio to hear something that could be a clue to help stranded victims of a plane crash. Did he also find satisfaction in knowing so many people volunteered their time, money and equipment in searching the rugged mountains for any sign of a plane crash? The rescue pilots put their own lives in danger by flying in such windy conditions. There are few people who could ignore a cry for help. But, would this person with his degenerate mind answer our cry for help? Sincerely, RITA W ATKINS |
