Show I Naples I Jo Openshaw Phone 769-3157 Naples 1st Scouts go fishing Naples 1st Ward Boy Scouts went on an overnight fishing trip with their scout master, Howard Weaver to Island ' Park Friday evening and Saturday. Douglas Cook and John Kay accompanied accom-panied them. Alan and Janet Clark and family of Rexburg, Idaho and Tom and Brenda Sederberg and daughter of Provo visited over the weekend with Reva Ruppe and son Larry. Saturday the Reva Ruppe family met at their old ranch on Blue Mountain for a family reunion. Present were Reva and Larry Ruppe, the Alan Clark family, the Carl Oldaker family, the Jack Ruppe family, the Clyde Ruppe family, the Fran Peterson family and La Veil and Laura Simmons. Visiting Reva Ruppe Thrusday evening even-ing were her granddaughter, Ann Peterson and Tom Crow of Jensen. Elva Manwaring spent several days in Huntsville last week with the Gary Lund family. Mrs. Lund is Mrs. Man-waring's Man-waring's daughter Elva Lynn. Bishop Kristen and Mrs. Wilson and family left Friday to go to Zion's Park for a family reunion of the B. Vere and Lola Wilson family. They had an enjoyable en-joyable time while there and returned last Wednesday. Lydia Anders and son visited Don and Viola Anders in Uravan, Colo, last weekend. Dennis and Sherrie Atkinson and Kenneth and Annette Reynolds went to Salt Lake City Tuesday evening and spent the night with Mrs. Atkinson's mother, Amy Pringle. They also visited ; Mel and Jean Larsen and family On Wednesday they attended the wedding ' of Sam Howard and Sharlene Hal) in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They also visited Kirk Reynolds in the LDS Hospital. , Eddie and Billy Burghardt of Salt Lake City have come to spend the sum- mer with the Duane Walls. . Walter and Hazel Hillbig of Salt Lake City visited friends here Friday. Naples 1st Ward MIA had an outing at Merkley's Park, Thursday evening. Mabel Richardson and five sisters, Nelda Jones of Bountiful, Lottie Jorgen-son Jorgen-son and Mildred Hodgkinson of Ogden, Marie Soderquist and Goldie Shiner of Vernal enjoyed several evenings together last week. DeLyle Jones of Bountiful visited relatives and friends while the group from out of town were here. Lola Huggins and daughter of Naper-ville, Naper-ville, Illinois came to Vernal to attend the marriage of her daughter, Dawn Michelle and Dell Massey. While here she visited her brother Roy, Ray Alvin and Wendell Nash. Reva Ruppe went to Jensen last Wednesday to see her first great grandson, grand-son, Brant Edrington, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Edrington. Lee and Marilyn Broadbent took Glen Reynolds and son Fred to Salt Lake City Ci-ty Saturday evening. While there they visited Kirk Reynolds in the LDS Hospital. They returned Sunday evening. even-ing. Afton Ruffin of Salt Lake visited her uncle, Victor Allred, Friday and Saturday Satur-day last week. Ron and Wendy Woods have a baby boy born Thursday, June 12, in the Uintah Uin-tah County Hospital. The baby weighed 9 pounds. Ray and Vergie Gee went to Provb Sunday to visit their daughter and son-in-law, the Charles Smiths. Going to the Salt Lake Temple with Jimmie and Minnie Jones Saturday were Bishop and Joy Kay, Dennis and Sherrie Atkinson and Ron and Ronda Jones. Terry Harrison and Johna Aldredge were married in the Naples cultural hall Saturday evening. The ceremony was performed by Bishop Kristen Wilson. A reception followed the wed-,ding. wed-,ding. Here from out of town for the wedding and reception were Mr. Pedro Maestas and Mrs. Leo Maestas and children of Payson, Utah, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Maestas and boys of Castle Dale, Utah, Mr. and Mrs. Max Maestas and children of Espanola, New Mexico and Herald and Donna Crapo and children of Myton. Brian and Blake Manwaring of Vanderhoof, Canada are visiting their grandmother Elva Manwaring. Clyde Rodeback of Salt Lake City visited his father, Noah Rodeback over the weekend. Larry Crowl and family have been to California this past week. Naples 2nd Ward had a ball game, Thursday at the Naples school ball park. Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Harrison and- Jenny and Leo Harrison went to Provo Friday to visit Yvette when she had knee surgery. Ralph and Nellie Southam made a business trip to Green River, Wyo., last Tuesday. |
