Show Packer Star Never Fails By HENRY MeLEMORE LOS ANGELES, Jan. 15 (UP-A (UP-A total of 59 men engaged In the football game here yesterday In which the Green Bay Packers defeated de-feated an All-Star team chosen from the other nine dubs In the National Professional league by score of 16 to 7. But only one man Just ons was the difference between victory and defeat for the Packers. His name is Hutson Don Hut-son, Hut-son, the old Alabama boy who ran Stanford crazy In the Rose bowl a few years ago. Hutson Is the greatest pass receiver re-ceiver who ever lived. He Is the only man who ever played who could have made Venus de Mllo a reputation as a pass thrower. All a back has to do Is to get the bell In the air and Hutson will catch It It was his catch of a 65-yard 65-yard forward that sealed the doom of the All-Stars. From back of the goal line Cecil Isbell wound up and let the football fly. With two All-Star defenders by his side, Hutson raced down the middle of the field. On the All-Star 35-yard mark he looked upward, stretched out his hsnds, pulled the ball, and went on for a touchdown. - |
