Memben of auxiliary No. 150 to tha Order of Railway Conductor! of America, division No. 395, held joint Installation of officers Sun day evening with the members of the men'! organization. Tha ceremonies cere-monies were held at tha Moose club, 161 Second East street, and were preceded by a banquet. Installed as officers for the auxiliary aux-iliary are Mrs. E. T. Marshall, president; Mrs. Rollo E. Hicks, vice president; Mrs. Harry W. Logan, secretary and treasurer; Mrs. John W. Barrett, junior sis- ter; Mrs. S. K. Greenburg, senior sister; Mrs. Thomas Fox. guard, and Mrs. George L. Harris, musician. mu-sician. Board members are Mrs. Carrie Moore, Mrs. James Ekstedt, Mrs. Jesse Snyder, Mrs. Bessie Bell, Installing officer, and Mrs. C. L. Jack, grand marshal. Officers who will lead the members mem-bers of division No. 395 during the coming year Include E. T. Marshall, Mar-shall, chief conductor; L. L. Ewen, assistant chief conductor; V. E. Ammerman, secretary and treasurer; treas-urer; Luther Evans, senior conductor; con-ductor; Peter F. Clifford, Junior conductor; B. A. Sorenson, Inside sentinel, and H. A. Walters, outside out-side sentinel. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Hicks. Mrs. Peter F. Clifford, Clif-ford, Mrs. R. E. Keleher, Mrs. H. E. Spalding, Mrs. Ekstedt and Mrs. James Roberts. Annual Luncheon The snnusl luncheon of the Salt Lake County Service Star legion was held Monday at Memorial house. Memory grove. Mrs. R. E. Gajiahl had -charge - of th. pro gram, which included a debate by the members'of the University of Utah debating team under the direction di-rection of Laverne C. Bane. Clyde Bradford presented a musical program. pro-gram. Acting as hostesses were Mrs. Kindon R. Jenson, Mrs. Ralph M. Thomas. Mrs. T. L. McKean, Mrs. Ken McShane and Mrs. Horace W. Shurtleff. Silver Tea Held A silver tea and musicale were combined Monday afternoon when the members of the music and drama section of the Elks Ladies' club met at the Elks club, 139 East South Temple street. Mrs. T. E. Gaddis led a discussion of the Mc- Dowell colony and the muscial program was given by members of the Marian McDowell club under the direction of Robert Colyar. Taking part were Miss Margaret Fehr, Miss Virginia Rushton, Vincent Vin-cent Bacon, Mr. Colyar, Miss Frances Fran-ces Langston, Mrs. A. E. Bowen, Miss N. Eileen Pyper and Mrs. P. O. Perkins. Maccabees Install Officers for the coming year will be installed Monday evening at the meeting of the review of Mountain hive No. 27, Ladies of the Maccabees, at the Moose club. Assuming office under the guidance guid-ance of Mrs. Stanley M. Vombaur and Miss Lillian Lauritzen are Mrs. Alfred L. Earnshaw, past ' commander; Mrs. Haywood Cash, commander; Mrs. .uzaDein z.vans, lieutenant commander; Mrs. Lloyd Whitehead, record keeper; Mrs. Hyrum C. Lauritzen, chaplain; Mrs. Ralph L. Seay, sergeant; Miss Florence Child, mistress at arms; Mrs. Alms O. Taylor, first guard; Mrs. A. M. Wilcox, second guard; Miss Beatrice L. Child, sentinel, and Mrs. Earnshaw, third-year trustee. Following the meeting refreshments refresh-ments will be served, with Mrs. Vombsur and Mrs. N. Christ Thompson in charge. Medical Meeting Mrs. Richard P. Middleton was in charge of the tea hour which followed the meeting of the Salt Lake County Medical society auxiliary, aux-iliary, Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. John Z. Brown, 116 University street. Assisting her were Mrs. Kenneth B. Castleton, Mrs. John W. Sugden, Mrs. Welby W. Blgelow, Mrs. Rees Anderson and Mrs. Earl F. Wight. An interesting program was given during the afternoon. Mrs. Chsrles E. Brain was in charge of the program entitled "Budgeting "Budget-ing Your Interests." Mrs. Claude L. Shields discussed "Home Gardening" Gar-dening" and Mrs. Walter Harold Horton told of her recent trip through the United States mint. "Betsy Ross and the American Flag" was the subject of Mrs. Lyman Ly-man M. Home's brief talk. Mrs. Dean A. Moffat gave a reading and Mrs. M. S. Sanders furnished music. |
