Show Kaare Engen Monopolizes All Three Idaho Titles SUN VALLEY, Jan. 15 (AP) Kaare Engen, brother of National Ski Jumping Champion Alf Engen, placed first In the three events here Sunday to spreadeagle the championship picture in the Idaho points of a possible 400. Brown had 385.12; Shieffer, 381.40; Don Goodman, 264.33; Leon Goodman, 336.32, and Hibbard, 199.31. t Engen scored 144.3 points in th Jumping competition. Shieffer, with th same distance, but poorer form, tallied 129.3; Brown, 117.4; Don Goodman, 93.1; Hibbard, 69.2, and Leon GooQman, 69. ' State ski tournament ' Engen topped the Jumping field with two leaps of 39 and 39 H me-' me-' ten, and also won th downhill and slalom races, th only other events on the tourney program. Behind Engen In the Jumping division came his Payette Lakes ' club teammates, in order: Jack Schieffer, Warren Brown, Don 1 Goodman, Charles Hibbard and ' Leon Goodman. 1 Trailing him In all-round compe- ' tltion were Brown, Schieffer, Don Goodman, Leon Goodman and Hib- bard. The top four of the Payette Lakes club will represent Idaho In the Jeffers cup Interstate meet here next week end. The other ' two members will be alternates.
