Show U. S. to Buy 18,000 Acres Of Forest Land in Utah J. E. Gurr, supervisor of Wasatch national forest, reported Monday approximately 18,000 acres of new forest land will be purchased by the federal government in Utah in 1940 to bring th state's total national forest acreage to more than 96,000 acre. The contemplated new area la on the Black Spark draining of the Green river near Wasatch national forest and now I privately owned. Mr. Gurr said th federal government govern-ment In the last 28 years haa acquired ac-quired a total of 78,790 acre ot forest land in Utah. |
