Show U. S, A. C. GIVEN CHAMPION BULL Utah livestock will be Improved through ownership of the grand champion bull at the National Western livestock show at Denver, Den-ver, Colo because two Utahns showed shrewd Judgment In viewing view-ing price livestock. It began last December when H. C Shoemaker, district manager man-ager of Sean, Roebuck Co offered of-fered to purchase a' bull for better-, better-, .meat of Utah .cattle. Professof Harry K. Smith of Utah State Agricultural college and H. 8. Wlnterton, Hereford , grower of Kama, Utah, were asked, to select a top-ranking animal. After Inspecting herds m Colorado Colo-rado and Wyoming, they purchased Advance Domino III at Kremre-llng'Colo, Kremre-llng'Colo, for 12000 with the understanding un-derstanding that delivery would be made after the Denver show In January. The animal will be sent to the Utah State Agricultural college. Heifer calves will belong to the U. S. A. C and bull calves will be grown to serviceable age and then placed in key spots throughout the state for the benefit of livestock growers. No price was quoted on the bull at the Denver show because it already had been purchased, but livestock experts said twice the original purchase price could not buy the animal now. |
