Show P.-LA. GROUPS ' T0J3ATHER POCATELLO, Idaho Officers and delegates from Parent-Teachers' association locals in seven southeastern Idaho counties will convene Tuesday In the Y. W. C. A. hall at 144 South Garfield avenue to outline winter work programs and head state and district officers' of-ficers' reports. Mrs. T. W. Bennett of Poca-tello, Poca-tello, fifth district president, will preside, with Mrs. R. L. Brainard of Wardner, state congress president, pres-ident, as principal speaker at afternoon and evening meetings. Other state officers and committee com-mittee chairmen who will speak are: Mrs. E. H. Smith of Boise, state membership chairman; Mrs. Howard Maughan of Preston, fourth state vice president; Miss Annette Crogster, library chairman; chair-man; Mrs. N. O. Johnson, founder's found-er's day chairman; Alfred C. Cordon, Cor-don, radio chairman; Dr. R. L. ' Watson, mental health; C H. Bond, education, all of Pocatello, and A. C. Smith, president of Pocatello Poca-tello P.-T. A. council. The first session is scheduled for 2 p. m, and the second, which will be open to the public, at S p. m. in Pocatello senior high school. Saftely, art, health, hot school lunches and other projects undertaken by the various city and county Knits will be discussed, as will study group programs and other activities fostered by council for Improvement of membership, said Mrs. Bennett. Music interspersed through tha evening meeting will be provided by Alfred C. Cordon Jr, vocal soloist; the high school music department de-partment and the male chorus of Pocatello L. D. S. Fourth ward. While the district at present comprises nine counties, only seven sev-en will send delegates, since Butta and Custer counties, at the extreme ex-treme north end of the district soon will be transferred to another district, said Mrs. Bennett. Counties to be represented are: Bingham, Bannock, Oneida, Bear Lake, Franklin, Power and Caribou. |
