I couldn't find any upperclaasmeo girls, because all the upperclassmen are rushing freshmen believe it or not. At A. S. U. V. Daswe Hamer Culp was beaulng Kay Henderson. She's one of the most beautifully poised girls I've ever' met. Hope Thurman was with Bill Plngree, both freshmen; Jean Murdork, of the lovely blond hair, was with Chick Woodruff. I caught a glimpse of Betty McCall and Jean Howell, too. Oh, yes, I forgot Barbara Straub she's always the center of a group wherever you tee her. She's that well-llked. And even the professors aren't Immune Im-mune to the peculiar charm of freshmen, I've found. Several I've talked to have commented on the fact that although they can't teach them much, especially during freshman week, there's something awfully attractive about a green-ling. green-ling. Follow After Slaters Hope you've had the chance to meet Peggy Johnson. Yes, she's Alton's little sister, and a girl more typical of freshman vivacity would be hard to find. Peggy has launched the knee-length socks on the campus cam-pus successfully, too. Jean Hansen Is the lovely blond girl who has ail the senior men making Inquiries, and Norma Young la the girl with the violin who has everyone In hysterica five minutes after you meet her. Gloria Graham and Gloria Thomas Thom-as are following in the footsteps of the sisters that have preceded them by setting a new high for popularity, while Mary Lou War-burton War-burton looks like a good bet for the sweetheart of Sigma Chi.
