Show TURKEY PRICE DROP SEEN THIS SEASON Turkey prices will be lower this season than In 1938. That forecast came Monday from Herbert Beyers, general manager of the Northwestern Turkey Growers' Grow-ers' association, during a meeting fit mmHiIImi rlirwctnra In the Hotal Utah. Mr. Beyers told directors the price would be lower because of a federal government estimate that the 1939 national crop will increase 22 per cent over 1938, or 15 per cent more than the all-time production pro-duction record of 1936. Fred W. Rahn, Riverside, CaL, association president presided at the annual meeting. Two directors were reelected, the remainder of the board being holdovers. Officers Offi-cers will be elected Tuesday. Reelected directors are Russell Rath bone, Seattle, Wash, and Earl H. Brockman, Caldwell, Idaho. |
