Show I War Has Style and Humor War has become a part of the daily life of Londoners as they go about their usual work with a more military air. Wartime hair styles, such as the one at right, created for wear with an overseas cap, feature -curls which can be washed at home or camp and do not need setting. It's created creat-ed by a "permanent" given with the new wireless type of machine. Business houses also' have taken on appearance appear-ance of buildings of Mars. Sandbags in front of the res- taurant (below) have been piled in such a fashion as to totally obscure the front of ' building. The sign which has been pinned to the sandbags sand-bags reads, "Sandbags on toast," advertising a special dinner, one of the many humorous sights of a London which is grimly ready for an air raid. urn nr" " "s? |
