Show What Readers Think Stab in the Beck by Runis Killed Poland Editor Telegram: My article of September 23 was not Intended Intend-ed to provoke sny controversy, but Mr. J. R. Clayton seems to object to my "emotion." There is no Intelligence without with-out emotion and no emotion without intellect It is thought In a glow. A human without emotion Is like a fish without blood. The critic starts out with: "Poland "Po-land no better than Germany, Russia." This at once shows emotional sympathy for the red gisnt and the invading nazis. If Poland was no better than Germany Ger-many or Russia, does that give a good reason for the two giants to combine to destroy the smaller, small-er, helpless Poland? We, the people, the core of living democracy, deplore and bemoan the aggressive coward-' Ice and dark burglar Industry of overgrown nations stealing territory ter-ritory from a weaker nation by act of murder. We recall a year ago when Poland acquired Teschen by consent con-sent a mere scrap of her former possession, along with other near neighboring states who. got a gob while dividing was easy, after the treacherous fuehrer hsd taken the major part all he wanted, by a game of bluff and force of arms. But this is neither here nor there and gets us nowhere. The truth of the matter Is, most nations expand and steal land by force or murder. What killed Poland was the stab In the back by the Russian Invasion while she was facing the hell fire of Hitler's "lightning war." We know that this democracy Is the nemesis of theft and murder. mur-der. The Almighty has said: "Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not steaL" Ex. 20, 13-15. M. A. Willumsen. |
