C Vance 28 Iowa st. st was slightly surprised Thursday at 9 am a.m. when a Salt Lake City police car deposited her year 5 ol old l son on her doorstep after he heI had been m missing for 13 hours I her knowledge The youngster Joe Vance with all the imagination and thirst for tor adventure of his 5 5 years had in the previous 13 hours spent a night I in the boys' boys detention home been bee I guest of honor of ot the Salt Lake City police department and made four round trips of the city in a bus Young Vance wandered away from home at 8 pm p.m. Wednesday after his mother had safely tucked him and hI his eight brothers brother and i it t I sisters in bed at their home He flagged a Salt Lake City Lines I bus No 7 and proceeded to town II After completing fo four foOr r of his runs the bus driver noticed the child I was still aboard and apparently enjoying himself He notified the I Salt Lake City police youth bureau which dispatched a prowl car to meet him By 2 am a.m. Thursday youth bu bureau bu- bu reau renu officers were were still without clues as to the tho childs child's identity or home address Their blue eyed blue eyed wanderer a little tired of all the questions was tucked into bed in inthe inthe inthe the boys' boys detention home where he spent the remainder of ot the morning He told officers his name and address Thursday morn ing
