Show hMc Urged to Attend Meets On Civil Defense Another in a series of meetings designed to give citizens information informa-tion on how best to protect themselves them-selves in case of an emergency, is announced for this evening, at 7 p.m., in the Jefferson school. Dr. Richard Hales of the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University is scheduled as the speaker and he will show a film entitled "Medical Aspects of Neuclear Radiation," and Dr George A. Spendlove, M.D. of the Utah state board of health will talk on "Health Services in Civil Defense and also show a film on what one should know about biological bio-logical warfare. The next meeting on Monday, May 2 will be at the Brookside school and the speaker will be Dr. Vaugn L. Hall of the department of public instruction. There will also be a film on fire fighting for householders. house-holders. The concluding meeting of the series will be on May 5, also-at also-at Brookside, speakers to be announced an-nounced next week. The meetings are sponsored by the PTA organizations of the Jefferson, Jeff-erson, Grant and Brookside schools and a cordial invitation is extended to everyone to attend. |
