The gallery will remain open Saturday and Sunday and on Mon ; day, the work of packing and returning re-turning the many canvasses to their owners in all parts of the country, will get underway, directed di-rected by Stanley Burningham, art curator. Attendance at the art gallery this year has equaled if not surpassed sur-passed any of previous years, members mem-bers of the board estimate. Many organizations from various parts of the state have come in groups and individuals representing many states are listed on the registrar. On Monday evening, Florence Ware of Salt Lake City and about 35 students visited the gallery and heard B. F. Larsen talk on the paintings. Miss Ware, a consistent exhibitor in the April shows, was favorably impressed with this year's show. Each evening throughout the month, someone has been at the gallery to tell about the paintings and something of the artists exhibiting. ex-hibiting. Generally the galleries are filled throughout the evening and there is never a time during the day that the galleries are vacant. Townspeople who have not tak- en advantage of the display of art at the Art Building this year; arc undoubtedly missing something of which many out-of-town and outT of-state people are taking advan7 tage. 1 |
