'J- ' j ill Vt "J, Lrz . 1 Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Nielson, nee Miss Shercl Nelson Springville Couple Wed in Temple; Honeymoon in Nev. After Reception Gordon Nielson has returned to duty at Camp Carson, Colo., and his lovely young bride, the former Miss Sherel Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wray Nelson of this city is making her home in Springville for the presents following their temple marriage, a pretty church reception and honeymoon honey-moon in Las Vegas and Hoover Dam. Gordon's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Nielson, also of Springville. The couple were Wed April 14 in the Manti Temple and following the rites, members of the wedding party were guests at a wedding breakfast at Ephraim. A reception in their honor was held in the Third-Ninth ward church with a host of relatives and friends attending. The bride was beautifully attired in white lace over satin with swirling swirl-ing skirt and fitted bodice topped j with a bolero. Her veil of illusion was held by a scalloped bonnet and she carried an orchid bouquet. In sister dresses of soft blue were the matron of honor, LaRae N. Stallings, sister of the bride, and bridesmaids Lorna N. Bown, Marilyn Ames, Marilyn Ollerton, Sheila Averett, Marilyn Frost and Geneil Wimmer. They carried bou-quests bou-quests of blue and white with cas- 1 cading ribbons of pink, yellow and I blue. Leland Crandall was best man. I Mothers of both the bride and bridegroom were in navy blue and wore pink corsages. At the guest book was Ellen Nelson and greeting guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Averett, Aver-ett, and Air. and Mrs. Gene Pal-freyman. Pal-freyman. In the gift and trousseau rooms were Mrs. Ronald Johnson, Mrs. William Bowen, Mrs. Lydia Nelson, Nel-son, Mrs. J. C. Davis, and Mary Nielson. Gift bearers were Carma Nielson, Ann Palfreyman and Carl Nielson. LaVar Nelson and Kent Nielson were ushers. Guests were served at small tables centered with bowls of floating float-ing flowers which complemented the beautiful tiered wedding cake which graced a lace-covered table. In charge of refreshments wens Mr. and Mrs. Warren Perry, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Baker and Mrs. Teora Nelson. Serving was done by Kay Christensen, Shirley Murray, Mur-ray, Karen Peterson, Evelyn Smith and Maris Thorn. Reception music was played by Mrs. Warren Tonks at the piano For her going-away costume Sherel chose a blue suit with navy and white accessories. |
