Show Services Saturday In Springville For Mrs. Handley Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the A. Y. Wheeler and Son Mortuary, for Mrs. Christina Winters Handley, 92, who died Wednesday forenoon of ailments incident to age. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary Friday evening and Saturday Sat-urday before the services. Burial will be in the Provo city cemetery. Mrs. Handley was born in Kankakee, Kan-kakee, 111., Sept. 6, 1862, a daughter daugh-ter of Henry and Anna Ahcrn Winters. Win-ters. She was married to Charles Handley July 20, 1879, and spent most of her life in Utah county. The family lived many years on a dairy farm at Vineyard and after Mr. Handley's retirement, they moved to Springville where he died in 1942. Mrs. Handley was the mother of five sons and daughters, four surviving sur-viving as follows: Mrs. Nellie Holdaway of Soquel, Calif.; George Handley of Sacramento; Charles Handley of Springville and Mrs. Ethel Cartwright of Tooele. There are also 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. |
