Show -complete her school year at the hi-h school and graduate She is staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Johnson. Mr and Mrs. Joseph Stark who are now making their home m St. George have spent a week visiting at the home of their daughter and her husband Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Curtis and at the home of their son Cleon and his family. Keith Wiscomb accompanied a groupe of boys in his Deacon's Quorum to a swim party at Park Ro She Friday night. Three Primary girls of the Map-leton Map-leton Second Ward were presented to the bishop for graduation into the1 MIA Sunday night. They were Nancy Leavitt, Karen Hansen and Kathleen Bertoglio. Terry Williams of the Mapleton Ward was also graduated. The Larks of the Mapleton Ward were entertained at the home of their leader Mrs. Theon Hall Monday. Mon-day. Their mothers were special guests. The program was presented present-ed by the girls which was a summary sum-mary of the year's work. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served to the following girls and their mothers: Beth Ann Blackett, Venice Christensen, Judy Wiscombe, Julie Seal, Sharon Whiting, Connie Whiting, Agnus Chidester, Rosela Banks and Karen Degraw, and two special guests primary president LaVeta West-wood West-wood and to Stake Leader Mrs. Cecil Maynard. Pvt. Vernon Floyd Gabbitas of the U. S. Marines is home on a ten day leave from Camp Pendleton, California. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gabbitas. The Blazer boys of the Mapleton Second Ward entertained their mothers mo-thers at an annual Mother's Day party in the church Tuesday afternoon. after-noon. A fine program was presented presen-ted by the boys and refreshments' were served. Norma Johnson, Class leader, was in charge. The Larks of the Mapleton Ward entertained their mothers at a special program Sunday afternoon in the church with class leader Wilma Cloward i n charge. The girls presented the program and served refreshments. Larks present werer Ann Whiting, Kathleen Jensen, Jen-sen, Linda Freeman, Patricia Johnson, John-son, Lorraine Snow and Patricia Anderson. Mrs. Cecil Maynard, stake leader was present. Nordika Barker was hostess to the officers and teachers of the Mapleton Ward Primary Monday night at her home. Menden-hall Menden-hall are spending two weeks in California Cal-ifornia visiting at the homes of their daughters Larraine and Bee and their familes. The Needle Craft Club met at the home of Mrs. Eva Bird Thursday Thurs-day afternoon where the time was spent in making an appliqued quilt. Helping with serving sixteen club members present were B e 1 v a Wentz, Arlene Holly, Inez Harmer and Esther Hurst. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Whiting are the proud parents of a new baby girl born at the Spanish Fork Hospital on April 14. The grandparents grand-parents are Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Bird and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Whiting. Mrs. Helen Snow accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Orland Cloward were in Salt Lake City one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn Binks and family of Helper were visitors at the Royal Binks home two days last week. Drew and Shirley will remain another week. Mrs. Bertha Davidson recently returned from an A. C. E. I. Convention Con-vention which was held in Kansas City, Mo. She together with Professor Pro-fessor Berry Essa of the BYU were selected to supervise a groupe of thirty nine college students at this convention which lasted ten days. - Miss Caroline Everett who is attending school at the AC at Logan, spent the week at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Everett. Mr., and Mrs. S. LaVell Bird left Monday for Ogden where they were guests of her sister Mrs. Leola Beck for three days. They also visited other friends and relations in Ogden. Mrs. Winona Davies is spending several days in Salt Lake City at the home of her daughter Audrey and her husband Jack Assay who are the proud parents of a baby boy born in a Salt Lake Hospital last week. Mr. and Mrs. Max Douglas and family of Long Beach, Calif., have returned to their home after spending spend-ing two weeks visiting at the home of her mother Mrs. Hannah Binks of Mapleton and with her mother in Payson. Arva Despain whose folks have recently moved to Cheino Calif, to make their home, has returned to |
