Show Dance Jamboree Concludes Girl Scout Course Troop 33 Girl Scouts climaxed a 10 lesson course in square dancing- by staging a Western Jamboree Jambor-ee at Memorial Hall for parents and friends Thursday evening. The girls took the course to achieve their Girl Scout Dancing Badge. They now have 34 members. For the course the girls invited partners and six squares participated partici-pated in the Jamboree with caller Wayne Anderson of Spanish Fork directing. Mr. Anderson, with his wife, Ethelle, assisted by Ed and Mary Breuninger, has been the instructor for the course. The participants par-ticipants were colorfully costumed in gay western attire. Also participating in the event were the Brownies who opened with a Grand March and spoke the Brownie Promise. Leading the march was 3-year-old Craig Hun- ter and Janet Breominger, dressed in smart black and white costumes. Mrs. Ida West and Mrs. Mary Breuninger are Girl Scout leaders and Mrs. Lou Hillis and Mrs. Harriet Har-riet Wightsil, Brownie leaders. Tuesday evening, the Girl Scouts entertained the boys who have, been their square dance partners at a picnic lunch with each girl decorating decor-ating a box lunch for herself and partner. |
