Show J High School A Cappella Choir Gives Free Concert Tonight : Songs of the fourteenth century to those of the present day, will be heard in the concert presente;! by the high school a cappella choir tonight at 8 run.. m the auditorium. The public is invited free of charge. Directed by Glenn A. Montague, the 37-voice group .will complete the season's entertainments with this evening's concert which too 1 will be the last for many of the group as two-thirds of them are seniors and will graduate in May. The program will include religious relig-ious works, madrigals, spirituals and secular songs .featuring besides be-sides the chorus members, two other talented high school students, stu-dents, Merrill Johnson with his violin and Boyd Hales on the piano. Lamar Boyer is president of the choir which has been highly commended com-mended for its fine performances presented the past few weeks in various high schools throughout the state in church programs and also at Snow College and at the Brigham Young University. The choir also received a highly superior rating in the region choral chor-al festival held in Springville Tuesday Tues-day with some 850 students participating par-ticipating signifying the place it holds among high school choral groups. Those who have heard the programs pro-grams presented in the churches by the choir will undoubtedly wart to hear their complete concert, Mr. Montague stated. Parents of the choir members and all others who enjoy music of any kind should hear this evening's program. |
