Show EUREKA CROESUS ORE BODIES ARE IMPROVING EUREKA. Nev.. Nov. 7. Development work at the Eureka Croesus mine is exposing ex-posing bodies of ore of exceptional value The four-foot face of ore In the east crosscut on the 400 level assays $295 per ton. and the drift now shows this body to continue for a distance of eighty., seven teet. with high grade still continuing continu-ing In the face. The big winze on this level has reached the water level, and as It did the ore body has opened up from seven feet wide to fifteen feet. Is continuing to spread out, and la of a better grade than before. be-fore. As the winze Is nearing the watei levol the ore Is beginning to carry considerable con-siderable copper values, and the oxides are changing to sulphides very rapidly within the last twenty feet of sinking. L'rlftlng is now under way at the bottom of the winze and the face shows ore going go-ing In' all directions. This wlnje alone Is producing enough ore with one Shift to keep two of the teams busy hauling. haul-ing. Three shifts are now working on the 200 level and tho ore continues to improve im-prove In size and value. Another new strike has been mads in a raise irom me west crosscut on thts level of steel galena, ga-lena, on which no assays have been made, but Judging from the other galena ga-lena ore In the mine this ore will run in the neighborhood of $300 per ton. The ore In the cave winze Is still Improving, Im-proving, the gold values holding up to about throe ounces per ton. with about sixty-five to 100 ounces In sliver. |
