In caae of distress, aid could be obtained at numerous fishing villages wiich dot the shore line. Surveys are said to show that the route is entirely safe for any seaplane able to glide six lengths for each length descended. Such planes would find water on which to alight at any point on the joorney if the flight were made at an elevation of 3000 feet or hijrlier.
