Show PORTLAND OPENS 1920 SEASON AT -BONNEVILLE PARK The construction of the 1020 schedule sched-ule of the Coast league has progressed pro-gressed sufficiently far to warrant the announcement that Portland will be Salt Lake's first adversary of the season. The Beavers will open hero on April 6. Seattle will pla yat Sacramento. Sac-ramento. Vernon at San Francisco, and Oakland at Los Angeles. The second week of the season will find Seattle here. The Bees' opening at-home stay will be of two weeks' duration. The third week puts the Bees up against the Tigers at Los Angeles. President Lane yesterday received a letter from Manager Ernie Johnson, in which the new skipper says he is on the trail of some ball players, but nothing definite has yet been done. Business Manager Jack Cook is ex nected in Salt Lake earlv this week. Upon his arrival he will set about making up the club's financial statement state-ment for submission to the ( stockholders, stock-holders, who hold their annual meeting meet-ing one week from today. : j |
