Show BRIGGS MURDER TRIAL WILL START MONDAY Trial will begin Monday mdrning in the Third district court of Thomas J. and Maud Linker and William H. Brooks, colored, all charged with murder mur-der in the first degi.je for the alleged slaying of Joseph Briggs, who was fatally fa-tally shot on Hie early morning of January 13, 1919, while resisting two robbers on Second South street, between be-tween Fifth and Sixth West streets. Briggs, an aged Fairview farmer, is said to have been at the Macedonia rooming house on West Second South street, shortly before being attacked.
