Show MILITARY HONORS FOR YANKEE DEAD WASHINGTON Nov. 7. Military honors will be accorded the 111 bodies of soldier dead which are being brought from Russia to the United States on the steamship bake Daraga, due at New York Sunday. Funeral services will to held in the rotunda of tho pier at Hoboken where the ship will be docked. A joint committee from the senate and house will meet tho ship and representatives of the war department depart-ment will be present when the vessel docks. Bodies which are claimed by the nearest near-est relatives will be turned over to them and the others will be sent to the national na-tional cemeteries for interment. With the exception of two bodies which were returned "irregularly," Mr. Baker said today those on the Lake Daraga are the first to be brought home, Major General William ,s. Graves, commanding American troops in Russia, has been instructed to send the names by wireless, and the family will be notified in each instance. |
