Show DR. CARROLL RETURNS TO LOGAN COLLEGE Special to The Tribune. IjOGAX, Mav 2S. Dr. W. E. Carroll or the Utah Agricultural college, who has been in the service as a captain in the U S. army since last September, recently returned from France and will soon take -up his old duties as professor of animal husbandry at the Utah Agricultural col- l6Dr Carrolt left the college last September Septem-ber as a captain in the sanitary corps of the army. He was sent to Camp Green-leaf Green-leaf Fort Oglethorpe. Ga. He remained there about two months, then embarked for France early in November. Landing at Le Havre, ho was detailed to St. Aignor. Dijon, and finally went to Brest as a food and nutritions officer. He attended a conference of nutritions officers of the second army at Tou France in January. He was detailed to the Tilth division at Soullly. a town near Verdun St Mihlel and Mont 1-acon. where fierce fighting was going on immediately im-mediately before the signing of tho armistice arm-istice in November. While there. Captain Cap-tain Carroll visited the battle scarred battlefields and trenches, made famous by the fighting Yankees. |
