Show BRIGHAM CITY II SEVERELY BURIED Porter Squires May Die of Injuries From Cleaning j Fluid Explosion. j Special to The Tribune. BRIGHAM CITY, July 27. Porter Squires of Brigham City met with an accident which may prove fatal last night when his body was severely burned while he was mixing ingredi- 1 cnts which he expected to use for cleaning wallpaper. Mr. Squires is a paper hanger and papcrclcaner. He was preparing the solution preparatory to cleaning paper for a customer. The solution contained wood alcohol, turpentine and other ingredients, in-gredients, and was being cooked on a stove in a small addition to the Squires residence. Improper mixing caused the solution to explour, tli rowing the hot liquid into the face and over the body of Mr. Squires. le was taken to the Pcarsc hospital, where it was believed he w;is not in great danger at first. Dr. K. A. Pearsc announced tonight, however, that he is in a critical condition, and it is doubtful doubt-ful whether he will recover. |
