Show OGDEN THUG USES Miss Alice Hein Struck on Head After Finding Intruder In-truder in Room. Special to The Tribune. OGDEX, July 27. Gilbert Kasius, 21 years old, was arrested early today by members of the police department upon an open charge. He will be held in connection con-nection with the investigation of the assault as-sault upon Alice Hein, 17 years old, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albertus Hein, 281 Twenty-third street, who was struck behind the ear with a stone by an early rooming intruder at the family residence. According to the report to the police, Miss Hein was aroused about 2 o'clock this morning by a man in her room. She screamed and the intruder struck her behind be-hind -.it; left ear with a stone. The girl attempted to pursue her assailant, as-sailant, but fainted. In escaping, the man passed through the rooms of her parents, who obtained a very good description de-scription of him. When the case was reported to the police. Officers Joseph Paine, Clyde Chase and Ed Butter field went to the house. After hearing the story of the assault the officers continued their investigations, which resulted in the arrest of Kasius. |
