Show WHEAT SHIPMENTS OF WEST SHOW INCREASE A report recently made showing the number of cars of wheat originating and loading on the Harriman lines, which comprise com-prise the Union Pacific, Oregon Short Line and the Oregon -Washington Railroad Rail-road & Navigation company, for the period of July, 1918, to June, 1919, inclusive, inclu-sive, as compared with July, 1917, to June, 191S, inclusive, shows an exceptionally exception-ally large increase. The Union Pacific had 15,128 cars from July, 1918, to June, 1919, inclusive, against 7268 cars for the same period, 1917 to 1918, inclusive, an increase of 7S60. The HDregon Short Line had 12,690 cars, Julv, 191S, to June, 1919, inclusive, against 6529 cars for the same period, 1917 to 1918, inclusive. The Oregon-Washington Railroad & Navigation company had 9576 cars July, 1918, to June, 1919, inclusive, against S608 cars for the same period, 1917 to 1918, inclusive. in-clusive. Thus making the total number of cars of wheat originating on the three lines from July, 1918, to June, 1919, inclusive, 37,394, against 22,405 cars for the same period, 1917 to 1918, inclusive, an increase of 14.9S9 cars. |
