Show INDIAN WAR FIGHTER'S PENSION IS RATIFIED When John Lowder of Parowan died In February, 1917, the pension he was drawing: from the government under the Walker Wars act reverted to his wife. Notice of the official ratification of the monthly pension of $12 was received yesterday yes-terday by Mrs. Elizabeth Cohen of the Indian war records branch of the Utah National Guard. Ellen L. Stokes, widow of Thomas Stokes of Midvale, was awarded award-ed a pension of $12 a month under the Black Hawk Indian wars act of March 4, 1J17. Others to receive pensions of $20 a month under the same act are: Charles Whitlock, Ephraim; Edward L. Whiting, La Grande, Ore.; Andrew Rolph, Mount Pleasant; Mcihael Jensen, Gunnison; Isaac Hall, Heber; John G. Morgan, Spanish Span-ish Fork; Phillip Dack, Manti; Joseph S. McClevet Taylor, Ariz.; Joel A. Johnson, John-son, Provo. |
