Show ' NEW RECORDS MADE IN RICO SHIPMENTS New records were established in the ! Vxscember ore. shipments from Rico station. sta-tion. A total of eighty-six cars was consigned con-signed to the smelters of Utah and Kansas Kan-sas during the last month of the year just closed. Not since May, 1913. -when 106 cars were shipped, has this mark been reached, and May. 1913, was an exceptional excep-tional month, overtopping records reach-ins reach-ins back into the palmy days of the camp. Thirteen cars went out from P.ieo on the 29th of last month, setting what is ' believed to bo a record unequaled in i twenty years for a single day's output. December's showing i3 particularly remarkable re-markable in view of the lack of hauling facilities, which, according to the mine operators, has been greatly hampering production. Undaunted by handicaps, operating managers here have set for themselves even greater goals for the months of 191S. Just why Colorado ore-treating establishments estab-lishments are permitting the growing volume vol-ume of Rico business to slip into the hands of smelters outside the state is a puzzle. December's shipments were as follows: Rico Argentine Mining company Twenty-eight cars copper ore to Garfield, Utah; ten cars zinc ore to Cokeyville, Kan. Marmatite Miring, company Twenty-one Twenty-one cars zinc ore to Coffeyville, Kan.; two cars copper ore to Garfield. Utah. nico 'Wellington Mining company Twelve cars zinc ore to Coffeyville; six cars lead-silver ore to Midvale. Utah.' Rico Consolidated Mining company Light cars zinc ore to Coffeyville.
