Morgan Is a Utah boy. Morgan's most recent notable achievement achieve-ment was his victory over the Philadelphia Philadel-phia Athletics, last Wednesday, winning by a score of 3 to 1. Morgan was ably supported by his teammates, with the exception of the fifth inning, wfren two bad pegs allowed Shannon to score. Larry Gardner, former star third sacker of the Red Sox, now with the Athletics, got two of the Philadelphia's four hits. The Camp Johnston camp boasts of one of the best teams in the country, and the players are receiving loyal support sup-port by the members of the camp, as evidenced by tlie fact that practically every soldier turned out to see the game against the Athletics. |
