Show BIDS ARE AWARDED FOR SCHOOL ADDITION The city board of education opened bids yesterday at noon for the building of the Forest school addition and authorized au-thorized the letting of the contiact to the lowest bidder who meets all requirements. require-ments. Of eleven bids for general construction, construc-tion, the highest was 547,700 and the lowest low-est $38,350, the low bid being that of p.u-dine p.u-dine & Chystraus. For the heating and ventilating the high bid was $fi(l47 and the low bid $46S0, being that of the Utah company. On the plumbing, the high bid was $7096 and the low $35, that of Higham Brothers. The bids were referred o the superintendent superin-tendent of buildings and grounds on a motion offered bv Will G. Farrell that automatically accomplishes tlje awarding of the bid to the lowest qualifying bidder. |
