Show to begin i. iii. i suspects; trial Forty-seven Defendants Accused Ac-cused of Dynamiting Stephens Home. SACRAMENTO, Cal., Dec. S. Forty-seven Forty-seven defendants in the Industrial Workers Work-ers of the World conspiracy case, which grew out of the investigation of the dynamiting of the home of Governor William Wil-liam D, Stephens here December 17, 1017, will be brought to trial here tomorrow in the United States district court on charges of attempting to obstruct the war program of the federal government. Sixty-two persons, including one woman, wom-an, Theodora Pollok of San Francisco, were named In the United States grand jury indictment under which they will he tried. Four of the defendants have died since their arrests. . Another, Julius Weinberg, has pleaded guilty. Several others have not been apprehended, and the cases of four or five will be disposed of otherwise, according to the proseeu-, proseeu-, tton. ; The defendants were accused in ' the indictment of a conspiracy to encourage sabotage by arson and other means and of fostering resistance to federal war measures and proclamations. Robert Duncan, special attorney for Ihe department ofjustice, will conduct the government case. He will be assisted I by P. H.
