Mikami has won a wide reputation as a player. He was captain of the AVa- seda club which made a tour of the United States last spring, and in 1914 he was captain of the Knox college nine. He is a brother to Hachisliiro Ikami, the noted tennis player, who is now making such a good record on the Crescent Athletic club courts in New York. This afternoon the Nippons will play the Harman club m one of the games of a double-header at Lucas field. The first game will be between the Cohn nine and the Tuck's Place nine. Mikami has imported several new players from the coast recently, and these have added considerable strength i to the club. With these atlditions he j hopes to defeat the Harman boys. |
