Show PHILADELPHIA IS THREATENED WITH STREET CAR STRIKE PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 5. Thomas E. Mitten, president of the Philadelphia Kapid Transit company, replied today to the ' ' utlimatum 1 ' sent to him yesterday yes-terday by Harry E. Flynn, president of the Amalgamated Association of Street j and Electric Kail way Employees, in which a strike of the 4700 motormen and conductors in this city was threat-i threat-i ened. I The company reaffirmed a previous statement that, it cannot deal with the union or consider its demands.
