Boston broke St. Louis' long winning streak by taking the first game of a double-header today, to-day, 4 to 1. -St. Louis, however, moved into sixth place by taking the second game, 6 to 3, Washington having lost to Chicago. Errors by Pratt and La van, combined with timely hitting by Walker and Lewis, accounted for St. Louis' loss of the first game. Boston's Infield cracked in the fifth inning in-ning of the second game, three errors, coupled with a double steal, a base on balls and three singles off Mays, netting the locals five runs.
