Show TWO SMALL CHILDREN HAVE NARROW ESCAPE Are Thrown From Automobile When Machine Skids, but Are Practically Prac-tically Unhurt. Two children, one 2 years of age, the other 4. were thrown from an automobile automo-bile to the pavement at the intersection of Eighth West and Second South streets yesterday and escaped practically practical-ly uninjured. "According to witnesses who saw the mishap, their case is one of the most unusual on record. Charles' Kastler of Garfield, Mrs. Kastler, his wife, and their children, Ruth, 2 years of age, and Joseph, 4 years of age, were iu the automobile, returning to Garfield from a visit to Salt Lake City. As Mr. Kastler proceeded pro-ceeded to turn south on Eighth West street the car skidded over the wet pavement, the front end of it striking an automobile truck driven by Robert Bnrrell of Burrell & Sons company. The front of Mr. Kastler 's machine was crushed in the impact and the two children, chil-dren, who were in the rear seat, were thrown to the pavement about ten feet away. .loppph arose to his feet instantly, uninjured un-injured save for a cut on his lip, which was caused when his face came in contact con-tact with the pavement. The little girl suffered a slight abrasion abra-sion of the head, which was attended by Di .T. Lloyd Woodruff and Ell-gene Ell-gene Wade, who was standing in front of the West Side pharmacy at the time of tho accident. The accident occurred about 5:30 o'clock. |
