Show GOAL OPERATORS 10 MEET WITH WILSON President Will Receive the Colorado Magnates on Next Wednesday. WASHINGTON. Sept. IS. The Colorado Col-orado coal operators today astod President Presi-dent Wilson to receive them next Wednesday to discuss the tentative basis ba-sis for settlement of the strike already accepted by the miners. The president immediately -vvired his consent. Jt is understood that the operators are not ready to accept the entire proposal pro-posal and desire to offer some suggestions. sugges-tions. The president "will listen to their arguments. DENVER, Sopt. IS. The selection of a delegation of Colorado coal miners to go to Washington and present arguments argu-ments against certaiu features of the strike truce proposal drafted by the federal mediation committee and -indorsed by. President Wilson will be made, it is expected, at a meetine of operators to be held here tomorrow. The individual replies of the various companies are being prepared for forwarding for-warding to the president. Opposition to various sections of the truce proposal will, it is believed, center cen-ter around the provisions for re-employment of strikers and for the appointment appoint-ment of grievance committees and an arbitration commission. ( It has been pointed out in behalf of the operators that the peace proposal provides fur re-employment of (iall striking miners who have not been found guilty of violation of the law." There have been few convictions, while a large number of sKi kers are now under indictment. It is expected that the operators will tell the presideut that strict compliance with the proposed agreement would require them to reemploy re-employ the indicted men, most of whom probably will not be placed on trial for several months. Furthermore, it is stated unofficially un-officially that the operators will object ob-ject to the final arbitrament of disputes by a commission.
