Tho curtain rang down on the local National league season here today when New York took a double-header from Philadelphia. Tho New York regulars won the first game easily by a score of 12 to 7, while the Giant yanlgans won the socond by a score of 7 to 5. The regulars rapped Brennan and Marshall Mar-shall for eighteen hits In the first game, eight of them being made off Brennan In the first inning. It was the first time that Brennan had faced New York, since his altercation with Manager McGraw in Philadelphia last June, Crandall weakened weak-ened at the finish of his game and the Phillies bunched hits for four runs in the eighth inning. Umpire Klem cleaned the bench of extra Philadelphia players in the fifth inning of this game. In the first inning Thorpe ran for Snodgrass and McGraw procured the permission of Manager Man-ager Doom to let Snodgrass 'stay in the game, but Umpire Klem would not permit per-mit it A one-handed catch by Fletcher was tho fielding feature.
