Show CLAN STEWART GIVES CONCERT AND DANCE Big Gathering Spends Delightful Evening Even-ing at Unity Hall; Bagpipe Band Is Present. At least 200 Scotchmen, members of Clan Stewart of the Order of Scottish clans and thoir friends, enjoyed a braw timo at Unity hall last night, the occasion occa-sion being a Scottish concert and dance under the auspices of tho clan and bagpipe band. "Long may yor him reck" was the official guidwill fronting of the evening, and from the irst selection on the programme until the guests wero wished "guid nicht and joy be wi ye a'," tho affair was a success. Aside from music by the pipers, which was, of course, keenly enjoyea by all tho highlandors, tho feature of the programme was dancing by the bairns. In tho fling, Viola Sorvice took first prizo, Ncssie Donaldson was given second sec-ond and Elizabeth Nisbit third placo. Dolly Nisbit, who took first prize in the sword dance, won all Scottish Scot-tish hearts with her nimble steps. Bessie Bes-sie Service was givon second and Catherine Cath-erine Campbell, third place. "Wee" Catherine is only 7 3'ears old. and her dancing was considered wonderful for a child of her age. The pipers were dressed In the bright hues of Clan Stewart and the more sober plaid of Clan C4ordon. They especially pleased when they "gart them Bklrl" to tho tunes of ''Pride of Scotland" and "The Mackenzie Icelanders." Ice-landers." Everyone who took part in tho programme was given a sprig o' heather, sent to Salt Lake by the "Weekly Scotsman of Edinburgh. |
