A PLAN for tho construction of a "boulevard to follow tho last of the visible water levels of old Lako Bonnevillo, and to run for a distance of fifty miles around tho lako shoro from a short distance north of the Hot Springs and terminating terminat-ing a short distance after entering Littlo Cottonwood canyon, haB "been evolvod hy Spencor Ciawson, and his Ideas are worked out in a relief map which has beon on exhibition at tho stato fair. Among the plans of 3klr. Ciawson aro to hnvo entrances from all tho canyons which his proposed hottlcvard will pass. Beginning at tho starting place mom-tionou, mom-tionou, it is proposed to havo tho road follow tho dead level of tho old water lino around the mountains to a point below Ensign peak, whero it will en-tor en-tor City Crook canyon; It will go to tho road whoro tho present boulevard turns south, and then following tho lovel will pass to the east bencn behind be-hind Fort JDouglas and dip into Emigration Emi-gration canyon. Aftor crossing Emigration Emi-gration canyon it will follow the mountain moun-tain foothills to Parley's canyon. Prom that canyon it will emorgo on tho water lino and follow the lovel to Big Cottonwood Cot-tonwood canyon, from thoro to tho Maxwoll mine and returning on the south side of Littlo Cottonwood. Mr. Clawaon estimates that such a road would bo practically gradoless, and would give tho grandest viow possible of tho Salt Lako valley. |
