Show CLUB WOMEN OF CITY IIH BOARD Action in Releasing Miss Rosalie Rosa-lie Pollock -Is Being Resented. Miss TCosalie Pollock, primary supervisor super-visor of the city public schools, whose services recently were dispensed with by the board of education, owing to Superintendent D. IT. Christensqn's failure to recommend her reappointment, reappoint-ment, will leave today for San Fran-cisen Fran-cisen to attend the convention of the Xational educational association, which convenes on July 9. At this convention Miss Pollock will represent the chairman chair-man of the Snlt Lake committee of the patrons' department of tho organization. organiza-tion. Miss Pollock will spend her vacation ."it tho coast and expresses her intentions inten-tions of returning to this city at the close of the summer. Miss Pollock said Wednesday afternoon after-noon that sho Had greatl' enjoyed her work in the Salt Lake schools. Tier association with the teachers has been delightful, she said, .and she was pleased with the desire t hat they have shown to put into practice her plans as primary pri-mary supervisor. Sho was high in her praise of the teachers and irincipals. Miss Pollock lias had numerous calls and has received many communications during the last two days from teachers teach-ers expressing their regret that hor connection with the local schools in the capacity of primary supervisor arc at an end and the club women of tho city aro indignant at the action of the board of education in sustaining the superintendent's su-perintendent's recommendation. Miss Pollock stands high with the teachers, which has been amply demonstrated the pnst few days. |
