Means for the , prevention of frauds or corruption in the election of representatives to congress ; were proposed In two bills introduced to- day hy Representative Powers of Kcn-, Kcn-, lucky, once a conspicuous figure in Lis state's gubernatorial election troubles. In one bill Sir. Powers proposes a fine 1 'Of from 51000 to S3000, or from one to ; three years' imprisonment for Intimidation Intimida-tion of voters at any primary or general election, for the use of money or for I threats in securing votes. A second bill provides that there be created a. commission com-mission of the house of representatives, consisting of three civilians, to investigate investi-gate all elections. . . |
