A certificate of reasonable doubt in the case of Joseph Relchmann. .formerly president of the Carnegie Trust company, was granted today to-day by Justice Page in the state supreme court. Relchmann was convicted last week of making a false report to the state banking department, and sentenced to four and a half months in the penitentiary. peni-tentiary. The court finds that the defendant's de-fendant's conetltutional privileges were Invaded, that he was rorced to answer questions put by the grand Jury under threat of contempt of court, which should not have been allowed. Relchmann was released in $10,000 ball. His case will go to the appelle.te division of the supreme su-preme court. |
