Peal estate dealers of Salt Lake have becu appoalod to by tho Commercial Commer-cial club to assist in securing tho donation do-nation of land for the sito of tho national na-tional home of the Ladies of the Maccabees. A few weeks apo it was intimated inti-mated thut Salt Lake by offering a suitable site stood ji pood ehancoof gcttinc thc approval of tho national organization for thc location of thc home in this city. Tho local hives of the order at once took the matter up with the Commercial club through the secretary. .T. E. Caine. Since then Mr. Uninc has worked in co-operation with a committee from the order for the purpose of securing the donation of the site. While one or two propositions were taken under advisomeni thus far no definite offer has come to the order for tho site. Believing that hurried action was nocessary the committee from thc locnl Maccabees directed a letter to Mayor Bransford appealing to him to aid in getting the coveted donation. Thc Commercial club in turn has appealed to the real estate men of the city by sending thc dealers a copy of the lct-lor lct-lor scut by tho committee io tho mayor. In setting out the reasons for calling their attention to the appeal of the Maccabees committee for a suitable site the following letter was directed to the real estate mu .by thc secretary secre-tary of the Commercial club: Appeal to Realty Men. We arc enclosing herewith copy of a letter addressed to Mayor J. s. Bransford by the local committee of the Ladles of the Maccabees of thc World, seeking the donation of a site for a home to be erected erect-ed by that order. At the request of Mayor Rransford this matter is called to thc attention of local real estate dealers and owners with the hope that public spirited citizens may see therein an opportunity to procure for Salt Lalce this building which will be a credit to bult T.ake as well as add to the prestige pres-tige of the locality In which It may be built. The Ladles of the Maccabees of the orld desire a site of three to five acres, easily accessible but not necessarily close to tho business district of the city. The National Convention of thc Ladles of the Maccabees of the World takes place on July 12 at Atlantic City, and we would llko If possible to present the convention with sonic outline of what thc clly Is willing to do.
