Show HORSE STEALING SUSPECTED. Officers Arrest Man Who Trios to Soil Animal Cheaply. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. July 5. Becoming suspicious when Roy Woodard attempted to sell a horse and saddle for $15. one of tho employees em-ployees 'of the Dee-Smith livery stable on " Twenty-fourth street this morning telephoned to the sheriff's office suggesting suggest-ing that an Investigation of the manner In which Woodard obtained the horse be started. Deputy Sheriff Frank Ludwlg went to the livery stable and after questioning ques-tioning Woodard placed him under arrest. Later a telephone message was received from the authorities at Bingham saying that a horae and saddle had been stolon from Hie Clipper livery stable last Tuesday,, Tues-day,, The description of the missing animal ani-mal tallied with tho horse which Woodard was trying to sell. After his arrest Woodard admitted tnat he had been going under the name of Jenson. He also admitted an acquaintanceship acquaint-anceship with Ab Murdock. the notorious horse thief recently Hilled by an officer of Wasatch county. |
